ALL AMERICAN STORAGE / DENTON, JEFFREY M. & CATHY - AMENDMENT OF APPROVAL CONDITION – Request to amend item #10 of the original approval conditions for a Special Use Permit to expand the self-storage facility approved July 5, 2007. Amendment is to allow a 10’ x 30’ illuminated sign; located at 10250 Highway 50 East, Mound House (APN 16-211-03) PLZ-09-0029
Planning Commission Recommendation:
Virgil Arellano made the motion to approve the Amendment of Approval Condition for All American Storage / Jeffrey & Cathy Denton, finding that: (a) The proposed amendment will not be detrimental to the use, peaceful enjoyment, economic value, or development of surrounding properties or the general neighborhood; and that the applicant has proposed mitigation of adverse impacts such as noise, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, glare or physical activity related to the proposed project; (b) The proposed amendment will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, convenience and welfare; and (c) The proposed amendment will not result in material damage or prejudice to other property in the vicinity; and, subject to the amendment of special use permit condition #10 for All American Storage, LLC, to allow installation of a ten foot by thirty foot internally lighted sign, with a maximum height of 35 feet, on the southeast corner of the property facing US Highway 50, as shown on plans dated June 5, 2009. Ervin Hill seconded and the motion passed unanimously: 7 Ayes, 0 Nays, and 0 Abstentions.
