1:30 PM – TIME CERTAIN – MASTER PLAN WORKSHOP – MASTER PLAN LAND USE DESIGNATION REQUESTS – (Action may be taken) - Presentations and consideration of land owners’ requests for specific land use designations as part of the development of the county-wide Comprehensive Master Plan.  Property owners and groups wishing to request specific land use designations for Planning Commission consideration will have a maximum of 15 minutes to present details and justifications for each request.

1.     KINGMAN CUSTOMS II, LLC – ABANDONMENT – Request to abandon the public right-of way known as Painted Horse Court, in conjunction with a reversion to acreage of the parcels created by the Parcel Map for Kingman Customs II, LLC, Document No. 432122, recorded on September 22, 2008; located off of Quarterhorse Lane, Stagecoach (APN’s 15-051-47, 15-051-48, 15-051-49 & 15-051-50) PLZ-09-0046

2.     KINGMAN CUSTOMS II, LLC – REVERSION TO ACREAGE – Request to revert to acreage the parcels created by the Parcel Map for Kingman Customs II, LLC, Document No. 432122, recorded on September 22, 2008; located off of Quarterhorse Lane, Stagecoach (APN’s 15-051-47, 15-051-48, 15-051-49 & 15-051-50) PLZ-09-0047

12.  REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF DRAFT ORDINANCE TO REVISE LYON COUNTY CODEPresentation by County staff and discussion with the Lyon County Planning Commission regarding proposed draft ordinance revising planning related matters in the Lyon County Code (action will be taken on all items)

 

        A.    REVISION OF TITLE 10.  CREATING A NEW CHAPTER 20, OUTDOOR LIGHTING CONTROL

                Discussion and possible action on an ordinance revising the Lyon County Code Title 10 to add a new chapter 20, Outdoor Lighting Control, to establish standards and criteria for outdoor lighting devices, including statement of purpose, definitions, general requirements, prohibitions, exemptions, procedures for compliance, and appeals.

13.  PLANNING COMMISSION MASTER PLAN WORKSHOP (action may be taken) Presentation by County staff and discussion with the Lyon County Planning Commission regarding the development and preparation of the County-wide Comprehensive Master Plan; which may involve any and/or all of the subject matters, or portions thereof, set forth in NRS 278.150 through 278.230 and related topics which includes maps, charts, drawings, diagrams, schedules, reports, ordinances and other printed or published materials; community design; conservation; economics; historical properties preservation; safety; school facilities; seismic safety; solid waste disposal; streets and highways; transit; transportation; community plans; goals and policies; and implementation measures and actions. Additionally, the staff and Planning Commission may discuss the status of the Comprehensive Master Plan project and the next steps to be taken.
